Elizabeth Williard Davis

Mrs. Elizabeth Williard Davis, 88, of Winston-Salem passed away Friday, November 20, 2009 at the Oaks at Forsyth. Mrs. Davis was born in Forsyth County to Dewey Aaron and Fannie Everidge Williard on May 20, 1921. She was a life-long member of Fraternity Church of the Brethren where she attended until her health declined. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved cooking for her family, and taking care of her flowers. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence Gray Davis, two brothers Jessie F. (Buck) and Richard A. Williard; two sisters, Frances W. Minish and Claudia W. Craddock. She is survived by two daughters, Sandy Wall and husband Mike of Winston-Salem and Patsy Johnson of Winston-Salem; three grandsons, Chris Wall and wife Karen of Lexington, Brian Wall and wife Michelle of Clemmons, and Daniel Johnson and wife Brittany of Winston-Salem; six great grandchildren Zachary, Alex, Reagan, Kennedy, and McKinley Wall, and Gavin and Sophia Johnson; a brother Robert Williard and wife Ann of Winston-Salem; two sisters Elsie Eicher of Harrisonburg, VA and Mary Williard of Clemmons; a sister-in-law Pat Williard and brother-in-law Leon Craddock both of Winston-Salem. A funeral service will be conducted Sunday Nov. 22, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Fraternity Church of the Brethren with Pastor Dave Kindy, Pastor Robert Williard and Pastor Mark Craddock officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 7-9:00 p.m. at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
