Elizabeth Copeland Carter

Kernersville - Elizabeth Copeland Carter died February 15, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born in Surry Co. to the late Jesse Thomas and Virgie Ada Smith Copeland. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church. She had resided in Kernersville for many years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Ford Carter, and a daughter Phyllis Carter. Surviving are; two daughters, Janet Carter of Rural Hall, Anita Carter of VA Beach, VA, a brother, Bill Copeland and wife Lucy of Greensboro, and a sister, Doris Goodrich of Chesapeake, VA, a brother-in-law, Billy Carter and wife Shirley, a sister-in-law, Mary Louise Olive all of Shelby, and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, February 18, 2009 in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Greensboro by Rev. Jeff Patterson. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
