Elizabeth Tedder Callaway

Elizabeth Tedder Callaway, 85, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born in Stokes County on January 13, 1923 to the late William Ernest and Beulah Posey Tedder. She retired from Western Electric with 35 years of service. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Preceding her in death was her husband, Miles A. Callaway; daughter, Lucia Ann Lawson; two brothers, Bill and Melvin Tedder and a sister, Pansy T. Wilkins. Surviving is a daughter, Pat Johnson of the home; granddaughter, Stacy Johnson and husband Matt; great-grandson, Parker Johnson; two sisters, Marie Casey and Betty Jo Wolff; two brothers, Agnew ""Bud"" Tedder and Robert ""Pee Wee"" Tedder; also surviving is a nephew, Allan Wilson and special friends, Hassell and Jane Wall. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at Crestview Memorial Park with Rev. Lee Strange officiating. There will be no formal visitation.
