Mrs. Eleanor Ray Speas, 74, of Winston-Salem, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born August 6, 1936 in Moore County to Edd Jackson Gaddy Sr. and Flora McDonald Gaddy. Mrs. Speas was a member of Mizpah Pentecostal Holiness Church until it closed and then began attending Parkview Church of God. She enjoyed gardening and being a mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Randall Barron Speas. Surviving are three daughters, Mitzi (Kenneth) Marion of Winston-Salem, Sheree (Drexdal) Pratt of Angier and Lori (Keith) Thomas of Advance; three sons, Scott (Ann-Marie) Speas of Winston-Salem, Eric (Julie) Speas of Lexington and Darrell (Debbie) Speas of Clemmons; one brother, Edd (Martha) Gaddy Jr.; thirteen grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 27th at Parkview Church of God with the Rev. Bobby Dishman officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
