Eleanor Sult Lyon Brown

Mrs. Eleanor Sult Lyon Brown, 86, passed away June 28, 2015 at Grayson Creek Assisted Living. She was born January 16, 1929 in Bristol, VA to the late Kyle Clifton Sult and Mattilee Houseman Sult. Mrs. Brown was a graduate of Hanes High School. She was co-founder of Sherwood Flower Shop and was a member of the Winston-Salem Florist Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph M. Lyon and her second husband, Preston Brown, and her sister, Kathryn Creasey. Mrs. Brown is survived by her two daughters, Linda Lyon Jacobs and Teresa Lyon Dunevant and husband Ed; three grandchildren, Maxwell Dunevant, Eric Jacobs, and Parker Jacobs; her brother, Larry Sult and wife Shirley. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am, July 2, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Kilbreth officiating. Burial will be private at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Wednesday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff of Grayson Creek Assisted Living and the staff of Hospice of Forsyth County for their care and compassion. Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
