Winston Salem - Elaine Boyle Fansler, 65, passed away Friday, September 25, 2009 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born December 2, 1943 in Durham Co. to the late Billie Boyle. Elaine moved from Durham to Greensboro when she was a child. She graduated from Greensboro High School, and then became a graduate of UNC Greensboro with a BA in education. She taught for 29 yrs and her heart was always with her students at Ben L. Smith High School. Surviving are her husband, Mike Fansler of the home, her son, Craig Steven Allen and wife Marlene of Greensboro; and her step-son, Andrew Michael Fansler and wife Kristen of Centerville, VA. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, September 28, 2009 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Chaplain Ann Dalton officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Sunday, September, 27, 2009 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either, Kate B.
