Eileen Tackett

Mrs. Eileen J. Tackett, 73, passed away February 12, 2022 after a short illness.  She was born Mach 13, 1948 in McDowell County, WV to the late Elsworth Garland Johnson and Nannie Louise Johnson.  Eileen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was preceded in death by her loving husband, Buddy D. Tackett, Sr. of 47 years.  Eileen was a retired cosmetologist and always loved what she did.  She was well loved by all, and carried a love beyond measure for her family.  She will be dearly missed.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Charlie, Daniel, Paul, and John Johnson; two sisters, Linda Petrovich and Sylvia Wade.  She is survived by her two loving sons, Buddy Jr. and wife Michelle, Mike and wife April; six grandchildren, Austin Knight, Alora Tackett, Colton and Kayleigh Tackett, Kristen and Christopher Hayden, and great-grandson, Asa; two loving sisters, Brenda Clark and Thelma Tuttle; two brothers, Jimmie and Jackie Johnson, and countless nieces and nephews.  A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 17, 2022 at Calvary Baptist Church in King with Rev. Kevin Broyhill officiating.  Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  Online condoleences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
