Edwina Jan Hilliard Newell

NEWELL Mrs. Edwina Jan Hilliard Newell, 41, of Winston-Salem passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born December 25, 1968 in Oklahoma to James Hilliard, Sr. and Charlene Jeffrey Hilliard. She was preceded in death by her father; and a sister, Deborah Hilliard. Surviving is her husband, Clarence Newell, Jr.; a daughter, Taylor Newell, both of Winston-Salem; her mother, Charlene Griggs of Tulsa, OK; a sister, Cynthia Fields of Dallas, TX; three brothers, James Hilliard, Jr. and wife Jameen of Alabama, Earmon Craven of Alabama, and Leonard Hilliard of Dunn, NC; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 12 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
