Edwin James Clark

KERNERSVILLE - Edwin James Clark, 80, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at his home. He was born August 3, 1927 in Bronx, NY to the late Edwin and Bertha Clark. Mr. Clark was a US Navy veteran, having served in WWII. He retired in 1985 from Alcatel-Lucent. Edwin loved fishing, boating, reading, working crossword puzzles, word jumbles, camping, flying, building and designing model airplanes. He also lent a helping hand with the Boy Scouts, when needed. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Obenaus Clark. Surviving are two sons, Geoff Clark (Shannon), and Ted Clark (Jan) all of Kernersville; a daughter, Kathryn Clark of San Antonio, TX; a sister, Barbara Goldberg of Bullock; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted at 10:00 am Saturday, August 2, 2008 at Hayworth Miller Cain Funeral Home Chapel in Kernersville by the Rev. Phillip Wagoner.
