Edward "Ed" Weldy

Edward “Ed” Oliver Weldy, 92, joined his beloved wife Ruth in Heaven on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, where she had been waiting patiently for him since October of 2020.  It was surely a joyous reunion.

Ed was born September 22, 1928 in Forsyth County to Claude and Elizabeth Weldy.  He worked as an automotive mechanic for most of his life, beginning at a young age.  He was 10 years old when he received his first payment for fixing a car.  Ed was a longtime member of Linville Forrest Church of Christ and enjoyed traveling the world after retirement with his wife.

Ed is survived by his daughters, Tracy Thomas, Joy Carlton, and Robin Leigh; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren.

Private family services will be held.
