Edward Michael Tkach, Sr.

Mr. Edward Michael Tkach, 77, of Clemmons, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at his home. He was born September 27, 1931 in Monmoth County, NJ to Michael Victoria Kocumbas Tkach . Mr. Tkach was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and was retired from the U.S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer after 21 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Anne Chaffin Tkach and a daughter, Valerie Harris. He is survived by six children, Debbie Lowdermilk and husband Gray of Mocksville, Edward M. Tkach, Jr. of Buffalo, NY, Albert G. Tkach and wife Donna of Advance, Frankie A. Starnes and husband James of High Rock, David A. Tkach and wife Paula and Cliff B. Tkach and wife Renae, all of Mocksville; eleven grandchildren, Will, Ben and Kelly Lowdermilk, Heather Vestal, Sterling Tkach, Brandy Shore, Kaylee and Ashlee Trivette, Jesse and Emmie Tkach and Adam Ridenhour; two great grandchildren, Aiyden and Karlynn Vestal and a special friend, David D'Amico.
