Edward Neal Snapp

Edward Neal Snapp 73, of Winston-Salem, loving husband and father passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Brookridge Retirement Home. Mr. Snapp was born May 15, 1936 in Sullivan County, TN. a son of the late Bill Snapp and the late Mable Wheeler Snapp. He was a graduate of King College with a degree in accounting and was retired from Sara Lee with 26 years of service. He served on the board of Sara Lee Credit Union, was a member of the National Association of Accountants, and Mount Tabor United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Snapp. Mr. Snapp is survived by his wife, Georgie Byrd Snapp; daughter, Amy Snapp Bryant and husband, Patrick; granddaughter, Abigail Bryant; nephew, Jonathan Snapp and wife Lisa; and a sister-in-law, Sara Nan Byrd. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Mount Tabor United Methodist Church with Dr. Earl Wilson, Rev. Gary Mahathey, and Rev. Ron Garner officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mount Tabor United Methodist Church or Hospice and Palliative Care.
