WINSTON SALEM-Edward Douglas Lovings, Jr., 38, died Sunday, November 16, 2008 at the Murdock Center. He was born February 24, 1970 in Forsyth Co. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Fred and Nellie Lovings; maternal grandparents, Ed and Sarah Booth; and one sister, Elizabeth Ann. Surviving are his father and step-mother, Edward Douglas Lovings, Sr. and Gail Lovings of Winston Salem; his mother and step-father, Mary Jane Booth Gilliam and Bruce Gilliam of Danbury; two sisters, Shannon Saylor of Mt. Airy; Julie Black of Martinsville, VA; one step-sister, Suellen Thompson of Kernersville. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at Hayworth Miller Cain Funeral Home Chapel in Kernersville with Chaplain Willis Herman officiating. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at the funeral home.
