Edward Smiley Junior Gallimore

Belews Creek - Edward ""Smiley"" Junior Gallimore, 58, beloved husband, father, brother, and grandpa, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2008 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He was born August 29, 1950 in Christiansburg, Virginia to the late Harry Edward and Virginia Louise Stump Gallimore. Edward loved life and everyone, more than life itself. He was employed for 25 years by Vulcan Materials. He leaves to cherish the memories his wife of 37 years, Barbara Long Gallimore of the home; a daughter, Elizabeth ""Buffy"" Sumner of the home; a son, Darrell ""Tater"" Gallimore of Belews Creek; three grandchildren, Tyler, Amanda Gallimore and Raina Sumner; a sister, Darlene McGuire; four brothers, Curtis Stump, Jimmy, David and Wayne Wirt. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday, September 14, 2008 at Hayworth Miller Cain Funeral Home in Kernersville with the Rev. Frank Shumate Officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Saturday, September 13, 2008 at the funeral home.
