Edward "Ed" Michael Bentz

Mr. Edward ""Ed"" Michael Bentz, 62, of Clemmons, NC, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017, at Forsyth Medical Center. Ed was born in Brooklyn, Ohio on February 15, 1955, to the late Norman and Virginia Bentz. In 2004 Ed and his wife Beth moved to Clemmons, NC and soon after their arrival they joined Salem Glen Golf Club. Ed was an avid sports fan and enjoyed rooting for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, and especially The Ohio State University Buckeyes. Ed is survived by his wife, Beth Minch Bentz; three brothers, Richard ""Ricky"" Bentz (Robbie) of Medina, Ohio, David Bentz (Meg) of Girard, Ohio, and Mark Bentz of Cleveland, Ohio; one sister, Vivian Bentz Loge (Ron) of Red Wing, Minnesota; two sisters-in-law, Amy Barsa (Randy) of Red Lion, Pennsylvania and Meg Van Son of Winter Springs, Florida; nieces and nephews, Stephen Bentz, Greg Bentz, A.J. Bentz, Michael Bentz, Vanessa Bentz, Matt Kufner (Liz), Greg Kufner (Kate), Corey Van Son, Rachael Loge, and Jennifer Loge. A service celebrating Ed's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Rev. John Bishop officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held in Cleveland, Ohio at a later date.
