Mrs. Edna Pearl Spaugh Wooten, 96, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 8, 2023. She was born to the late Walter Harvey Spaugh and Pearl Conrad Spaugh on July 18, 1926, in Forsyth County. Edna was a beloved member of the community and a friend to all. She enjoyed many hobbies such as walking, bird watching and jig-saw puzzles. Edna had her own garden where she grew numerous vegetables that she would later cook or can. She was a faithful believer and attended Maple Springs United Methodist Church for many years of her life. She will always be remembered as loving wife, mother, sister and most importantly “Nana.” In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Douglas Franklin Wooten; and four brothers. Edna is survived by her daughter, Brenda Wooten Robertson (Larry); son, Mark Wooten (Theresa); grandchildren, Dustin Robertson, Cheryl Dew (Steve), Shannon Allred (Travis), Douglas Robertson (Amy), Jackson Parks-Wooten, Jillian Parks-Wooten and Jaden Parks-Wooten; great grandchildren, Mackenzie Dew, Maycee Dew, Aaliyah Allred, Lucas Robertson and Ava Robertson. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Monday June 12, 2023, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at 11:00am at Westlawn Memorial Gardens. Officiating the graveside service will be Rev.
