Edna Blair Ragsdale

Edna Blair Ragsdale, 92, passed away Monday, August 17, 2015 at her home. She was born November 10, 1922, in Forsyth County to the late John William and Mary Parrish Blair. Preceding her in death was her husband, Paul D. Ragsdale, Sr.; one grandson, Brian Ragsdale, one sister, Augusta B. Starbuck and three brothers, Gilmer, Roy and Bill Blair. Surviving are two sons, Paul, Gary and wife Robin, and one great-grandson, Zachary Ragsdale. She was a faithful member of Antioch Baptist Church until her health declined. She was a wonderful cook and loved preparing meals for her family. A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, August 21, 2015 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Brett Kitko officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Ln. Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or to Elizabeth and Tab Williams Adult Day Center, 231Melrose Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
