A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Mrs. Edna JoAnn Tesh Leach, age 76 of Winston-Salem went to be with her Heavenly Father Sunday, March 18, 2012 at her daughter's home in South Carolina. Mrs. Leach was born in Forsyth County, April 13, 1935 to Jesse Gray and Bertha Viola Sparks Tesh. As a member of Marshall Baptist Church she loved singing in the choir and teaching Sunday School for many years. Mrs. Leach loved music and her passion to play the piano was never ending. She graduated from Mineral Springs High School. In addition to her parents Mrs. Leach was preceded in death by her husband; Paul Emerson Leach and three sisters: Betty Harpe, Barbara Royal and Louise Jones. Mrs. Leach is survived by two daughters: Susan (Tony) Holcomb of Georgetown, SC and Cindy (Chris) Everhart of The Woodlands, TX. One son; Richard Leach of Winston-Salem. Six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. One sister; Shirley Gordon of Ft. Myers, FL and one brother; Franklin (Doris) Tesh of Winston-Salem. Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Leach will be conducted Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Marshall Baptist Church in Winston-Salem by Pastor John Holms with burial to follow at Parklawn Memorial Park in Winston-Salem. The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday, March 21st from 12:30 P.M. until time for the funeral service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Tideland Hospice, 2591 N. Fraser Street, Georgetown, SC 29440. Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall is serving the Leach family.
