Edna Kelly Ellis

Clemmons-Mrs. Edna Kelly Ellis, 84, passed away Monday, January 9, 2012 at her home. She was born September 24, 1927 in Durham County to the late Vernon Lester and Grace Greenhill Kelly. Mrs. Ellis was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church. She retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. with 37 years of service. Mrs. Ellis was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Preceding her in death was her husband, Ray Ellis. Surviving are a daughter, Rebecca Slater (Marvin); three grandchildren, April Sanspree, Anthony Slater, and Anastasia Slater; also surviving are five great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. A private burial will follow the service.
