Edith Talbott Wilkerson

Mrs. Edith Talbott Wilkerson, 84, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away on January 11, 2011 at Bermuda Commons in Advance, NC. Mrs. Wilkerson was born on October 24, 1926 in Halifax County, Virginia to the late Mr. Otis Major Talbott, Sr. and Nannie Womack Talbott. She graduated from Cluster Springs High School and later moved to Winston-Salem, NC. She was a long-time member of Ardmore Baptist Church and was retired from Thalhimers Department Store as a sales clerk. Mrs. Wilkerson was the last surviving member of her immediate Talbott family. Proceeding Mrs. Wilkerson in death along with her parents were her loving son, Phillip; a brother, Otis Major Talbott, Jr. and two sisters, Ethel Holly and Margaret Walker. Surviving Mrs. Wilkerson are her beloved husband, Bernard ""Bunny"" Wilkerson; two sons, Ricky Wilkerson and Darrell Wilkerson; three grandchildren, Jennifer Wilkerson and husband Chris, Neal Wilkerson, and Spencer Wilkerson; three loving daughters-in-law, Cindi, Melanie, and Becky. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday January 15, 2011 at Ardmore Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons, NC. A visitation will take place on Friday January 14, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home on Silas Creek Parkway.
