Mrs. Edith Billings Scott, 88, of Winston-Salem passed away Thursday, October 30, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born February 24, 1920 in Forsyth County to Robert Alexander and Lelia Craver Billings. Mrs. Scott was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph W. Scott; two brothers, Odell and Bobby Billings; and two sisters, Lenora Stanley and Blanche Hester. Surviving are two special great nephews whom she raised, Todd Coram (Penny) of East Bend, and David Coram of the home. Todd and Penny's children are Mary Beth and Amanda. Also surviving are two nieces, Nancy B. Turner (Raymond) and Barbara Naylor (Ken); and a number of nephews, great nephews and nieces and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 3rd at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Neal Eller officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Antioch Baptist Church, 910 Palmer Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27107.
