Edith Louise Phelps

Kernersville - Mrs. Edith Louise Sowders Phelps, age 62 died Sunday, May 10, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born November 13, 1952 in Indiana to the late Oliver and Wilda Minton Sowders.

Mrs. Phelps was employed with Walmart in Kernersville as the Bakery Manager for 15 years. She loved being surrounded by family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband Keith Arnold, five children, Shannan Crawford and husband William, Larry Phillips, Shawn Michael Arnold, Ethan Thomas Arnold, Ronnie Patrick Arnold; five grandchildren; four brothers and five sisters as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister Mavis Jean Sowders; one brother Larry Sowders; grandson Aaron Cody Pierce and her father-in-law Gary Lee Arnold.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society at 4 Oak Branch Drive, # A Greensboro, NC 27407 or to the National Fibromyalgia Association at 2062 Business Center Drive, Ste. #235 Irvine, CA 92612.
