Edith Fulp Moore

Mrs. Edith Fulp Moore, 86, of Winston-Salem died Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at her home. She was born March 6, 1924 in Forsyth County, the daughter of the late Cyrus Albert and Pearl Lemons Fulp. Mrs. Moore was a loyal member of Crews United Methodist Church. She loved making chicken pies, gardening and canning. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar McClung Moore, and a brother, Thomas W. Fulp. Survivors include two sons, Terry E. Moore (Marlene Salyer) of Vanceboro and Sterling H. Moore (Peggy) of Hampstead; one daughter, Melody M. Hawkins (Glen) of Kernersville; one grandson, Andrew Moore of Asheville; two sisters, Betty F. Tuttle of Kernersville and Inez F. Hepler (Bob) of Greensboro and; two brothers, Arnold Deleno Fulp (Shirley) of Kernersville and Steve Michael Fulp (Kaye) of Florida and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 1:00 PM at Crews United Methodist Church with Rev. Brian Crady officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The immediate family would like to extend special thanks to all family, friends, church members and care givers, Brenda Laney and Joan Robertson for all the love, care, and support of our Mother.
