Mrs. Edith Bailey Marlow, 93, of Winston-Salem died Friday, August 8, 2014 at Reynolda Park Assisted Living under Hospice care. Edith was born February 10, 1921 in Winston-Salem to the late Robert D. Bailey and Vivian Spear Bailey. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by children, Brenda Marlow Bennett and Timothy Dirk Marlow; sister, Willa Rose Bailey; and brother, John Bailey. She is survived by brothers, Max Bailey (Jo) of Winston-Salem, Hassel Bailey of Greenville, NC and sister, Mildred Wolfington of Gastonia, NC; grandchildren, Josh Marlow (Caroline) of Raleigh, NC, Elizabeth Freeman of Robinstown, Ireland, Scott Bennett of Denver, CO, Jonathan Bennett of Venice Beach, CA; great grandchildren, Salem Marlow, Noah and Will Freeman; and son-in-law, Jerry Bennett of Winston-Salem. Edith was retired from Hanes Hosiery after 35 years of service and was a member of First Baptist Church of Winston-Salem. The family will receive friends at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel from 1:00 until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 12, followed by a graveside service at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens at 3:00 PM.
