Edith Grey West Fry

Mrs. Edith Grey West Fry, 85, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. She was born in Davie Co. on May 9, 1927 the daughter of the late John and Mattie McBride West. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a member of Fulp Moravian Church in Walnut Cove. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Eric Fry, four sisters and two brothers. Mrs. Fry is survived by her husband of 65 years, Rev. John Frank Fry, a daughter, Kathy Fry of Germanton, a son, Rick Fry and wife Lola of Germanton, a daughter-in-law, Rebecca Adams Fry of Valle Crucis, four grandchildren, Elisha (Michael) Whicker of Winston-Salem, Brian Fry of Winston-Salem, Kristen (Dow) Pender of Clemmons and Patrick (Anna) Fry of Walnut Cove, five great-grandchildren, Callie, Dree, Sawyer, Lane and Emily, three sisters and a brother. Funeral services for Mrs. Fry will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 28, 2012 at Fulp Moravian Church in Walnut Cove with Rev. Dan Nelson and Rev. Jim Newsome officiating. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to; Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
