Edith H. Estes

Kernersville - Edith H. Estes, 84, passed away Monday, August 08, 2011. She was born April 9, 1927 in Dyer Co., TN to the late William Frank and Georgie Nichols Hopper. Mrs. Estes was a member of Main St. Baptist Church in Kernersville. She retired from West Memphis Federal Savings and Loan when her first grandchild was born. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael W. Estes; three sisters and four brothers. Surviving are her husband, Edward Estes of the home; one daughter, Myra Estes Willard and husband Mike; four grandchildren, Melissa Edwards and husband Neil, Megan Sargalis and husband Matt, Jacob Estes and friend, Jennifer, and Maggie Estes; two great-grandchildren, Madalyn Kate Edwards, and Jackson Estes. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 5:00 pm Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Mike Willard and Rev. Wilson Harmon officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. A Graveside Service will be conducted in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, TN.
