Edith Fishel Collins

Edith Fishel Collins, 74 , of Arcadia, NC, passed away unexpectedly on February 24, 2016. Edith was born on November 24, 1941 in Forsyth Co., NC to Clayton Sanford and Agnes Grubbs Fishel. Edith was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and sister. She loved traveling across the country, working at Mrs. Hanes Moravian Cookies, fishing and spending time at the beach. Edith loved her family and her church family. She was a great cook, baker and decorator of cakes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her sister, Marie Malcom and granddaughter Cheyenne Collins. Edith is survived by her husband of 52 years Larry Collins; sons, William Collins (Carol), Bobby Collins (Lisa), Douglas Collins ( Jennifer); sister, Carolyn Bodford; grandchildren, Kirsten (Stefan), Adrienne (Grant) ,Tayler, Marissa and Bryson. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Minister Kelly Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Friday February 26, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
