Edith Louise Shaw Cockerham

KERNERSVILLE - Edith Louise Shaw Cockerham, 85, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born November 9, 1927 in Davidson Co. to the late Charles Dalton and Gertrude Landreth Shaw. Mrs. Cockerham was a member of First Baptist Church in Kernersville. She loved to read and enjoyed working in her flower gardens. Surviving are her husband, James H. Cockerham of the home; one son, Jerry Cockerham and wife, Myra; three grandchildren, Christopher Cockerham and wife, Dana; Jennifer Cockerham, and Stephanie Cockerham; four great-grandchildren, Darci Cockerham, Taryn Wilson, Skylar Loveland and Maci Loveland. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Dr. Steve Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Kate B.
