The Lord has received into His loving embrace His faithful and loving servant E. C. Reavis, Jr. Mr. Reavis passed away at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House on Thursday, April 26, 2012. Mr. Reavis was born in Wilkes County to Eugene and Sadie Reavis on May 16, 1926. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mae Pettit Reavis. He is survived by his second wife, Mary Sue Tesh Reavis; his daughters, Sharon Sparks and husband Gary of Iron Station, and Tonya Young and husband Gene of Lexington; his stepsons, Randy Tesh and wife Ruth of Mocksville, Gary Tesh and wife Dinah of Advance, and Eric Tesh and wife JoAnna of Tobaccoville; grandchildren, Christopher Sparks and wife Stephanie of Rural Hall, Christina Britt and husband Ernest of Lumberton, Scott Sparks of Winston-Salem; step-grandchildren Quinn Tesh and Mica Tesh of Mocksville and Devon Hauser of Rural Hall. Mr. Reavis served in the Army and was a veteran of the European Theater in WWII. A welder by trade, he retired from Western Electric. He loved woodworking and gardening. He was a member of Clemmons First Baptist Church and the Carl Gregory Sunday School Class. A celebration of his life will be conducted in the Family Life Center of Clemmons First Baptist Church on Saturday, April 28th at 11:00 am. The family will receive visitors in the Family Life Center prior to the service from 10:00 - 10:45 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kate B.
