Mrs. Earsley Nifong Fulton, 101, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Clemmons Village II. She was born in Forsyth County on May 14, 1920 to the late Permaniuf and Lessie Miller Nifong. Mrs. Fulton graduated from Clemmons School and attended Draughon’s Business College. She was the oldest living member of Clemmons Moravian Church. Mrs. Fulton was a homemaker, wonderful cook, and an accomplished seamstress. Preceding her in death was her husband of 52 years, Roy S. Fulton whom she married on January 18, 1942 in York, SC; three brothers, Miller, Wilburn, and Pete Nifong and two sisters, Frankye Pierce and Treva Hunter. Surviving is a daughter, Gaye Poindexter (Tony); grandson, Colt Poindexter; two great-grandchildren, Daniel and Matthew Poindexter; also surviving are several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Clemmons Moravian Church Graveyard with Rev. Christopher C. Thore officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clemmons Moravian Church, PO Box 730 Clemmons, NC 27012 or to a charity of choice. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful caregivers at Clemmons Village II and to Mtn. Valley Hospice.
