Earl Taylor Bowles

Mr. Earl Taylor Bowles, 76, entered his heavenly home on January 12, 2023, at Silas Creek Rehabilitation Center in Winston-Salem. He was born on March 4, 1946, in Rocky Mount VA, to the late Paul and Thelma Bowles. Earl retired from Thomasville Furniture with over 30 years of service as a machine operator. After retirement, he worked for Budd Security and Bassett Furniture of Mount Airy. He loved visiting car shows in Carlisle, PA and Charlotte, NC. He also enjoyed traveling to Pigeon Forge, TN for vacation. Earl was well liked and loved by all who knew him. He had a great sense of humor and would always make you laugh. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister: Pearl. Earl is survived by his wife of 34 years; Pamela Hunter Bowles of Germanton, one daughter; Rebecca Richardson (Keith) of Winston-Salem, one stepson; Steve C. Gunnell Jr. (Tina) of East Bend, one stepdaughter; Tammy G. Duggins (Terry) of Germanton, five grandchildren, one nephew, and one brother; Ernest Bowles (Suzy) of Winston-Salem. A graveside service will be held for friends and family at 11:00 AM Wednesday January 18, 2023, at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown with Pastor Greg Hall officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society 1901 Brunswick Ave, #100 Charlotte NC, 28207 in his honor.
