Earline Sappenfield Burton

Mrs. Earline Sappenfield Burton passed away early Tuesday morning January 1, 2013 at Silas Creek Manor. She was born in Forsyth County on August 24, 1922 to the late Early Sappenfield, Sr. and Stella McGee Sappenfield. Earline was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church and retired from Sara Lee Corporation with 41 years of service. She is preceded in death by her husband Carl Matthew Burton; three sisters Margaret Leagans, Mabel Wall, and Lizzie Maines; and two brothers Charlie and Paul Sappenfield. Earline is survived by sister Violet S. Kimmer; brother Earl Sappenfield, Jr of Jacksonville, FL.; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 4, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev J. B. Parker and Rev. Joe McWethy officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday evening at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
