Mr. Earlie Roosevelt ""Jaybird"" Beauchamp, 87 of Clemmons passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born January 23, 1928 in Davie County to Eugene Roosevelt Beauchamp and Ruth Robertson Beauchamp Sheets. Mr. Beauchamp served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired from the U.S. Army Reserves after 34 year of service as Master Sergeant. He was later a member of the VFW Post 9010. Mr. Beauchamp also retired with 30 years from Western Electric and was the owner of Beauchamp Electric for 25 years. He was preceded in death by a brother, Alton D. ""Kit"" Beauchamp and a sister, Shirley Cornatzer. Surviving is his wife, Dorothy Hendrix Beauchamp of the home; four children, Earlie R. Beauchamp Jr. (Lorna) of Advance; Bonnie Whisenhunt (Mark Beroth) of Clemmons; John Keith Beauchamp of Winston-Salem and Sallie Crump (Frank) of Clemmons; four grandchildren, Amy Mabe (Kevin), Crystal Messick (Jayson), Lori Crump, and Brent D. Whisenhunt; a step granddaughter, Kristie Trivette; 4 great grandchildren, Lacy, Madisyn, Brayden and Barrett; a sister, Betty Benge of Orlando Fl and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to caregivers Tony and Wendy. A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 12, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Dr. Robby Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 11, 2015 from 6 until 8 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the Donor's Choice.
