Earlie Pearl Baugus

Mr. Earlie Pearl Baugus, 86, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at his home after a brief battle with cancer. He was born June 10, 1926 in Glade Valley, NC to the late Isaac and Pearl Baugus. Mr. Baugus retired from Hanes Dye & Finishing. He loved gardening and nature. Mr. Baugus was a good-hearted man and a wonderful husband and father. In addition to his parents, Mr. Baugus was preceded in death by three siblings. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Mrs. Evalene Baugus of the home; three children: Greg Baugus and wife, Tammy of Belews Creek, Sandra Thomas and husband, George of King and Michael Baugus; two grandchildren, Brad Cave of Durham and Travis Baugus of Belews Creek; and one sister, Lula Stokes of Walkertown. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 1 at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 28 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
