Earl Edward Lambeth

Earl Edward Lambeth born April 21, 1921 to Eddie Mitchell Lambeth and Bertie Mae Lambeth, passed away from this life to be with his Heavenly Father on June 21, 2014. Our loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather was received into the arms of Jesus to be with his Eternal Lord and Savior. Earl left behind his loving wife, Dallie May Lambeth of 69 years, plus a sister, Ruth Clair Calkins, two brothers, Wayne Lambeth and Dallas Lambeth. Also his four children, Max Edward Lambeth and wife Merle Settle Lambeth, Marie Sizemore and husband Dannie Eugene Sizemore, Pamela Hicks Moser and husband Tommy Moser, Jerry Lynn Lambeth and wife Carol Phelps Lambeth. Earl had 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, as well. Earl touched numerous people while on this earth, especially his children and their families. He served in the Army Air Force during WWII in Panama coming home to work at R. J. Reynolds for 34 years before retiring in 1981. Earl and Dallie were members of Antioch Baptist Church on Palmer Lane serving and becoming a Deacon Emeterius in 2007. Earl was a faithful servant, teaching Sunday school, serving on numerous committees, singing in the choir, and even preaching once and a while all because of his never ending love for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His Faith never wavered or stammered and for that, we his family will always be thankful. He was a beacon to us all in life to the end. Earl will be greatly missed by all that has ever come in touch with him but thanks be to God, we will see him once again. We thank God for giving you to us as our father. We will always love and remember you. Viewing will be at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel from 6-9 PM Wednesday evening, June 25, 2014. A funeral service will be held at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel on Thursday, June 26, at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
