Earl William 'Bill' Donahue

Mr. Earl William ""Bill"" Donahue, 87, of Winston-Salem died Thursday, October 18, 2012 at his home. He was born January 17, 1925 in Medina, NY, the son of the late, William and Lula Caldwell Donahue. Mr. Donahue was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Clemmons. He served with the US Navy during World War II and was retired from Eastman Kodak in Rochester, NY. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Harriet Bridgeman. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Lois Owens Donahue of the home; his children, Sandra L. Beechler and husband, Daryl, Cheryl A. Dawson and husband, Gerald, Michael S. Donahue, Terri L. Bennett and husband, Paul all of Winston-Salem, and Patricia J. Donahue of Rochester, NY; six grandchildren; two step grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Michael Buttner officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park with full military honors. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home on Silas Creek Parkway.
