Mr. Dwayne Lee Eads, 55, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born as Dwayne Lee Hatfield in Millersburg, Kentucky on May 6, 1969, the son of Hoy Lee Hatfield, but was adopted by Mickey Eads at an early age. He loved the Lord, was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and loved going fishing with his friends. Dwayne was devoted to his family, friends and his pets. Survivors include his wife, Penny Eads; a daughter, Taylor Young (Dakota); a son, Jesse Eads; two stepsons, Steven Myers (Karly) and Jacob Myers (Maddie); a grandchild, Luca and a very good friend, Jan Knight. A Celebration of Dwayne’s Life will be held at 2 pm Saturday January 25, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Dr. Barney Jones officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice La., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
