Dr. Richard W. Rogers, 90, of Bermuda Village, died Sunday, February 14, 2010. He was born March 4, 1919 in Trumbull County, OH. to Rupert Reed Rogers and Ruth Nethercut Rogers. During WWII, Dr. Rogers served in the U.S. Public Health Service for the Merchant Marines and the U.S. Coast Guard. He practiced General Dentistry for 50 years in Warren, Ohio. Dr. Rogers was a member of the Warren Dental Society, Ohio State Dental Society, American Dental Society, and Corydon Palmer Dental Society. He was an Elder and Trustee at First Presbyterian Church in Warren and was also a member and served on the boards of the Buckeye Club, Trumbull County Club, Rotary Club, YMCA, Family Service Association and the local Chapter of the American Red Cross. His parents and one sister, Jeanne Fremd preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife, Betty Rogers; two daughters, Pat Truesdell and husband Don, and Donna Pierce; four sons, Doug Rogers and wife Chris, Bruce Rogers and wife Jane, Dan Rogers and wife Ann, and Craig Rogers and wife Patty; 15 grandchildren; three great grandchildren and one sister, Donna Rogers Brackett. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:30 PM Friday, February 19, 2010 at Bermuda Village by Dr. William M. Hoyle. The family will receive friends following the service.
