Dr. Jacob Alexander Orbock

Dr. Jacob Alexander Orbock, 88, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2024, at Clemmons Medical Center. He was born in Oneida, New York on February 10, 1936, to the late Edward Christian and Deborah Orth Orbock. Dr. Orbock graduated from Rutgers University and Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He completed an internship at Jefferson Medical College, a residency in Internal Medicine at Lankenau Hospital and a Fellowship in Cardiology at the University of Pennsylvania. He worked for many years as a cardiologist with Winston-Salem Healthcare Plan and as a volunteer at the Community Care Medical Clinic. He also served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Medical Corps. Surviving are his beloved wife of 58 years, Maureen; two sons, Eric Orbock (Jessica) and Justin Orbock (Jennifer) and six grandchildren, Eva, Caroline, Molly, Edward, Elena, and Sadie. A service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Second Harvest Food Bank of NWNC.
