Dr. Rose Constance D'Agostino

Dr. Rose Constance D'Agostino, 85, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Cogdon House at Pennyburn at Maryfield. She was born February 27, 1926 in Bayonne, NJ to the late Salvedor and Angela Marvaso D'Agostino. Dr. D'Agostino had a love of learning which led her from Skidmore College where she earned a Bachelor's Degree, to Radcliffe University where she received a Master's Degree, and ultimately to New York University where she was awarded a Ph.D. She returned to Skidmore College, to become a valued professor there. Along with her parents, Dr. D'Agostino is preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. She is survived by her brother Ernest D'Agostino of Rock Hill, NC; eight nieces and nephews: Suzzie D'Agostino, Patty D'Agostino, Paul D'Agostino, Monica Gilbert, Angela Siconoffi, Daniel D'Agostino, Richard D'Agostino and Ernest D'Agostino. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church with Rev. Brian Cook officiating. The family respectfully asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to St. Leo's School Endowment Fund, 333 Springdale Ave., or Church General Fund, 335 Springdale Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
