Dovie Buchanan Fox

Mrs. Dovie Lucille Buchanan Fox, 77, passed away November 3, 2014 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born September 1, 1937 in Jackson County, NC to the late Thomas William Buchanan and Lillie Cabe Buchanan. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and was generous in giving to many ministries and touched numerous lives. Mrs. Fox is survived by her husband, Bynum Fox; two sons, Willy E. Wilson and Johnny L. Wilson of Winston-Salem; two grandchildren, Michael Wilson of Lexington and Johnny Lee Carroll of Winston-Salem; a great grandson, Dalton Alexander Wilson; a great-great grandson, Michael Dillion Gray Wilson; five step-children, Kenneth Fox (Shirley) of Kernersville, Marcia Thompson (Stephen), Gregory Fox (Debbie), Michael Fox (Patricia), and Julia Fox, all of Winston-Salem; two sisters, Bonnie Taylor of Greenville, SC and Kathy Stevens (Arthur) of Sylva, NC; two brothers, Walter Buchanan of Sylva, NC and George Buchanan of Smithfield, VA. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Garness Brooks, the Rev. Jeff Boles and the Rev. Randall Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
