Douglas "Doug" Hoeller

Mr. Douglas “Doug” Paul Hoeller, 69, of Winston-Salem, passed away, Tuesday, March 9, 2021. He was born in Marfa, TX, on February 17, 1952, to the late Paul August and Nona Marie Shaw Hoeller. Doug attended Texas A&M University and was a member of the Ross Volunteers. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy and served as the Head Communications Officer. Doug loved the outdoors, especially, hiking, kayaking, and all watersports. He also enjoyed woodworking and playing multiple string musical instruments. Doug never met a stranger and always had an upbeat personality. His favorite saying was, “I’m having so much fun, I can’t stand it.”

In addition to his parents, Doug is preceded in death by his loving wife, Nancy Hoeller. Surviving is his step-son, Eric Pucciariello (Najila); two grandchildren: Michael and Makin Pucciariello; three siblings: Karen Smith, Mark Hoeller (Diane) of Keller, TX, and Chris Hoeller of Houston, TX; and two nephews, Lance and Lane Hoeller.
