Douglas Marshall Yount

Mr. Douglas Marshall Yount, 68, of Clemmons, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016 at his home. He was born January 30, 1948 in Catawba County to Geraldine ""Gerri"" Jaynes Yount and Marshall Vivian Yount. Mr. Yount was preceded in death by his parents and was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Corinth Church of Hickory. Surviving are a stepson, Jeremy Matthews (wife Emily); a son, Brian Yount of Clemmons; Brian's mother, Denise Kitchen; four grandchildren; two brothers, Jeff Yount (wife Cathy) of Clemmons and Marshall Yount of Wilmington; three nephews, Dannon Mulle', Jay Yount (fiancé Megan) and Brandon Turp; three nieces, Lindy Yount, Naomi Yount and April Yount and his beloved dog, Smokey. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the home of Jeff and Cathy Yount, 151 Luna Lane, Clemmons, NC 27012. The family will receive friends following the service.
