Douglas Buie

Mr. Douglas Mitchell “Mitch” Buie, 50, passed away Tuesday February 1, 2022.  He was born February 27, 1971, in Forsyth County to the late George Douglas Buie, Jr. and Daphane Wall Buie.  Mitch was a family man who loved to help others.  He was a good friend with a great sense of humor who could tell the best stories.  Mitch was a member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church.  He was also a decorated Eagle Scout.  Mitch is survived by his loving wife, Abigail Henson Buie; two daughters, Hannah Hinkle (Cong) and Sarah Buie; two sisters, Michelle Washem and Diana Young (Eddie); and uncle, Drew Buie (Pam).  A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, February 12th at Pine Grove United Methodist Church with Pastor Bob Richardson officiating.  The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethesda Center for the Homeless, 930 Patterson Ave., Winston-Salem, NC 27101 Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
