Dot Buelin, 78, of Winston Salem passed away August 11, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Health following a brief illness. She was born on March 2, 1934 in Forsyth County to Elser and Myrle Weisner. Known to her grandkids as Gen-Gen, her family meant the world to her. A huge NASCAR fan, she never missed watching a race. Dot was always the adventurer once traveling along- side her sister and niece in an eighteen-wheeler cross country and in 1999 she and her sister celebrated the millennium in Times Square. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband, James Douglas Buelin, her brother Jack Boyles and brother Charles Weisner. Survivors include her children Jimmy Buelin and wife Teresa, Randy Buelin and fiancée Pat, Tammie Connellee and husband Randy, grandchildren Jason Shields and fiancée Sara and daughter Harper, Kellie Connellee and fiancée Will, Shannon Buelin and Alisha Buelin, great-grandchildren Harper Shields, Taylor and Makayla Buelin, great-great grandchild Riley Buelin, brother Bill Boyles and sister Frances Mabe. The family will receive friends Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home on Silas Creek Parkway. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Winston Salem. Memorials may be made in her name to Kyle Petty's Victory Junction Gang at www.victoryjunction.org.
