Dorothy Smith Huff

Mrs. Dorothy Smith Huff, 78, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. She was born in Davie County on January 22, 1943 to Elmer and Rosa Smith. Dorothy absolutely loved the beach, where she would collect seashells. She was very crafty and enjoyed making ceramics, painting, and building lamps from the shells she collected from her beach walks. Dorothy enjoyed gardening, flowers, planting, and just being outside in general. She will be missed by all who had the privilege to know her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Huff and brother, Clark Smith. Surviving family includes her children, Keith Huff (Jennifer) and Kelly Huff (Barbara Reeser); grandson, William Huff; and siblings, Richard Smith, Jerry Smith, and Sue Collins. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel,  with Rev. David Mikkelson officiating.
