Dorothy Linville Wilson

KERNERSVILLE - Mrs. Dorothy Linville Wilson, 87, a kindred spirit, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 12, 2013 surrounded by her family. Dorothy was born May 3, 1926 in Forsyth Co. to the late Wilson and Cora Mitchell Linville. Dorothy was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. She was a great example of a life well lived and set a standard to live by for all who knew her. Her children are blessed and lucky to have had her as a mother. Her memories will be dearly treasured. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Manuel Wilson, Sr.; a grandson, Robert Marshall Blakley; two brothers, Glenn and Billy Linville; and three sisters, Audrey Larrimore, Jewel Bowman and Bertha Linville. Surviving are one son, Manuel Wilson and wife Carolyn; five daughters, Carol Badgett and husband Toby, Dona Gauldin, Susan Freeman and husband, Avery, Cindy Blakley and husband, Robert, Kim Rice and husband, Dan; 10 grandchildren, Jonathan and Michael Wilson, Timothy and Kevin Freeman, Dee and Dale Gauldin, David Badgett, Brook Stevens, Brandy Fleeman and Stacie Blakley; and 23 great- grand children; two sisters, Janet Gauldin and Patricia Brim; four brothers, Dewey, Mack, Bobby, and Jerry Linville. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Bob Lattimore officiating. The family will receive friends following the service on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be conducted Monday at 3:30 p.m. at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. Memorials may be made to Mt. Calvary Baptist Church- Building Fund, 7279 Pine Hall Road, Belews Creek, NC 27009.
