Dorothy Stanley

Mrs. Dorothy Meadows Stanley, 91, passed away at Alston Brook on August 22, 2020. She was born on September 13, 1928 to Buford Meadows and Myrtle Clark Meadows in Forsyth County. Dorothy was a gifted homemaker. She treasured time spent with family and particularly enjoyed keeping the babies. She was also active in her church. Dorothy delighted in weekly outings with her best friends “the golden girls” and shopping with her sister. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, James Stanley. Surviving are her children, Pam Swaim (Danny), and Michael Stanley; grandchildren, Angela Shepherd (Sean), Pamela Hughes (Jeff), Danny Joe Swaim, and Julie Conrad; great grandchildren, Cilas Shepherd, Kalib Shepherd, Laela Shepherd, Tyler Carter, Ashley Tennant (Zachary), Dylan Swaim, Katelyn Chandler, and Madalyn Swaim; nieces and nephews, Debbie Sink (Tony), Connie Martin (John), Buddy Meadows (Sabrina), Libby Teal, G.W. Meadows (Jan), and April Randleman (Keith); and a special daughter-in-law, Linda Stanley. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Rev.
