Dorothy Louise Dot" McGee Rule

Winston-Salem, NC; Rule: Mrs. Dorothy Louise ""Dot"" McGee Rule, 90 of Winston-Salem passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born October 21, 1920 in Forsyth County the youngest of seven children to William ""Will"" and Penelope Loggins McGee. Dot was a longtime member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church and was retired from the W-S/Forsyth County School System. She was preceded in death by husbands; William Howard Rule and Reece Cummings; a daughter, Wanda Rule Mabe, 4 sisters, 2 brothers. Surviving are three children, Shirley Cummings Epperly of Winston-Salem, Dr. William Stanley Rule and wife, Penny of Beaufort, N.C.; Karen Rule McKee and husband, Mark of Winston-Salem; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Dr. Cecil Cave officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park.
