Dorothy O'Brien

Advance- Miss Dorothy Frances O’Brien, 94, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.  She was born March 9, 1924 in Jamaica Queens, NY, the daughter of John and Freda Heinz O’Brien.  She was retired as an Executive Assistant from PepsiCo and had earlier in her career worked at Bloomingdale’s.  Dorothy loved her family, was known for her great sense of humor and her sharp mind.  She was an avid reader, a classic movie lover and loved to correspond to her family and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents; one sister and one brother.  She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Rosemary Lawler of Winston-Salem, Edward Lawler, Jr. (Carolyn) of Richmond, VA, James O’Brien (Susan) of Texas, Patrick Lawler (Debra) of Sandston, VA and Terry O’Brien (Ronda) of Seattle, WA and her grandnephew, Gregory Harding, his wife Alison and their son, Goodman.  A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Monday, February 11, 2019 at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Truett Williams officiating.
